Rust Electronics

Electronics!

These first tips are based on 1 Large Solar Panel!
It generates 20 Power in full sunlight.

You can find a Large Solar Panel in a crate along the road, buy at Outpost for 75 scrap or craft one(Workbench Level 1 needed).

Materials needed: 5 High Quality Metal, 1 Tech Trash

Place the Large Solar Panel facing the sun(North) to get the most power during a game day.

“Let there be light!”

Auto lighting for when it gets dark!

Electronics needed:

  • Large Solar Panel (5 High Quality Metal, 1 Tech Trash)
  • Small Rechargeable Battery (5 High Quality Metal)
  • Ceiling Light (50 Metal Fragments)
  • Electrical Branch (75 Metal Fragments)
  • Blocker (75 Metal Fragments)

*You need a Workbench Level 1 to craft most.
  • BL1 = Large Solar Panel > Electrical Branch
  • G1 = Electrical Branch (Branch Out) > Blocker (Block Passthrough)
  • B1 = Electrical Branch (Power Out) > Battery
  • R1 = Battery > Blocker
  • Y1 = Blocker > Ceiling Light

*Hold the shift key to allign the Branch and Blocker nicely.

Configure the Electrical Branch and put the amount to branch off to 1. With this set-up your battery will charge with 19 power during the day, the Ceiling Light will go on when the Large Solar Panel won’t get any sunlight.

The Battery won’t have any “Active Usage” as long as there is sunlight.

You can expand the amount of Ceiling Lights by connecting them through the Passthrough socket.

One Ceiling Light uses 2 power.

A Small Rechargeable Battery has a maximum output of 15 Power.

You can have 7 Ceiling Lights in your base on 1 Small Rechargeable Battery.

“Let there be light!” with auto furnace!

Recreate the previous set-up and put the ‘R1’ cable through a Industrial Conveyor before it goes into the Blocker.

This set-up has an 1 Active Usage Power. The lights will still go on at night.

Here you see 20 Power coming from the Large Solar Panel and 19 towards the Small Rechargeable Battery.

*The counters seen here are all optional and not needed.

Place a container and a Furnace and attach Storage adaptors to both.

Then combine the Industrial Conveyor to the Storage adaptors and turn it on(no filter needed on the Conveyor).

To fire up the Furnace: Put an Igniter close to the Furnace, attach a Button to it. Press the Button when there is wood in the Furnace.

*working on an auto igniter.
